Two Ways We're Building Community at Studio 21 Tattoo
Two Ways We're Building Community at Studio 21 Tattoo
This month we did two things that reminded us why we love this industry: we hosted an art show and we brought incredible guests to the podcast.
Let's talk about the art show first. We hosted a black light immersive experience at Studio 21 Tattoo, and if you're looking for ways to promote your shop and build real synergy with your team, this is it. Here's why it works: your artists get to create outside the normal tattoo box. Your team gets to build something together instead of just grinding solo in their chairs. Your clients get something to actually look at, talk about, and remember. And honestly, new people walk in just because they heard about it. They see your work, they feel the vibe, they come back. Art shows aren't a one-time gimmick — they're a marketing tool that actually feels good to execute.
On the podcast side, we had Beaver Duck (@beaverduck) and Joey Hamilton from Revolt Tattoo sit down for deep conversations. Here's the thing about long-form content: social media shows you the highlight reel, but the podcast lets you actually know these people. You get the real story. You hear how they pushed through hard times, built their businesses, and stayed true to who they are. It's the stuff you don't get in a 30-second reel.
If you want to check out these episodes, head over to Support Your Local Tattooer on YouTube, subscribe, and dig in. Long-form conversation, good energy, real talk about the tattoo industry.
Both of these things — the art show and the podcast — come from the same place: building community over chasing clout. Try it. Your shop, your team, and your clients will feel the difference.
